Psychotherapy and Behavioral therapy

Psychotherapeutic medical treatment deals with a person‘s psychological problems. However, it does not only help with psychological problems or life crises. It not only heals or alleviates mental suffering, changes disturbed behavior or attitudes, but also serves to promote health and personal development. (1)

The process of behavioral therapy is oriented towards people as learning beings in a changing world and is intended to help them to cope better with any problems that arise. The cause of a disorder is seen as the result of biological, psychological and social processes and environmental factors, whereby learning processes have not taken place or have not taken place adequately. Therapy builds on these basic considerations and attempts to change these factors as positively. (2)

In training under supervision

The designation „Psychotherapist in training under supervision“ means that I am in the final phase of psychotherapeutic training and regularly reflect on the therapy processes of my patients in supervision sessions with fully trained psychotherapists who have additional training. For you, this means that the quality of your psychotherapy is assured from the beginning to the end of treatment. Confidentiality is of course guaranteed in this context.

Procedure, costs & general conditions

Procedure

Psychotherapy begins with a non-binding first interview in which you are given the opportunity to describe your current complaints and gain an insight into my working methods. The aim of this meeting is to get to know each other and to assess together whether further cooperation is possible.

Costs

The first interview is free of charge.
One unit of psychotherapy (50 minutes) costs € 45,-.

It is currently not possible to receive a cost subsidy from the health insurance companies, as this service is not provided for patients of psychotherapists in training under supervision.

General conditions

Duty of confidentiality: According to §15 Para. 1 of the Psychotherapy Act, psychotherapists are obliged to maintain confidentiality about all secrets entrusted to them or made known to them in the course of their profession. (3) As a psychotherapist in training under supervision, I am also subject to this professional obligation, which is strictly regulated by law.

Cancellation policy: If you are unable to keep an agreed appointment, please cancel the appointment on time (at least 24 hours in advance) by text message, e-mail or telephone. I ask for your understanding that for later canceled/missed or not attended appointments the full fee will be charged.
